OUR EXPERIENCES
Cambrian Cottages is run by Libby and Peter and offer three beautifully converted dog-friendly and eco-friendly holiday apartments (a 1 bedroom apartment and two 2 bedroom apartments) with shared EV charging. Formed within a converted 19th century stone barn set in five acres of farmland in rural Carmarthenshire, the apartments provide the perfect base to explore West Wales. Although the accommodation is primarily self-catering, we can also provide breakfast hampers for our international Travel Trade guests as required.

Cambrian Cottages is a Green Tourism Gold-accredited accommodation provider in Carmarthenshire, Wales, operating with an SME Climate Commitment to achieve net-zero emissions before 2050. The business drives local economic benefits in an under-visited region by sourcing local goods and promoting independent regional operators.
Its restored historic stone barns feature eco-friendly construction materials, including sheep's wool insulation and low-VOC paints. Operations run entirely on electricity from an on-site solar array and a 100% renewable grid tariff, supported by air-source heat pumps.
The property actively restores local ecosystems by eliminating pesticides, maintaining bat roosts, and reinstating a courtyard wildlife pond. Through comprehensive waste reduction, low-energy water filtration, and cross-border Travel Trade partnerships, Cambrian Cottages pairs community reinvestment with strict environmental responsibility.

When are you open?
We are open 7 days a week, 12 months a year typically. Normal office hours are 09.00–17.30 GMT.
What accommodations do you make for people living with disabilities?
Our apartments are spacious with generous circulation and wide doorways. Two apartments are located at ground floor level and the third accessed by easy going steps. Sockets and switches are located at accessible heights and all lighting can be controlled by dimmers. Accessibility guides are available for each apartment via our website.
