On the Route of JABUGO by Jamones Eíriz JABUGO

Explore the dehesa, artisan ham-making, and a guided tasting while supporting cultural heritage, sustainable farming, and conservation.

OUR EXPERIENCES

The experience is divided into three stages. First, guests visit the dehesa, where free-range Iberian pigs are raised, to learn about their natural habitat, traditional farming methods, and the PDO Jabugo quality standards. Next, they discover the artisanal curing process by exploring the natural drying rooms and cellars, with interactive explanations of each production stage. Finally, the experience concludes with a guided tasting of premium Iberian hams and cured meats, paired with PDO Condado de Huelva wines (or soft drinks and water), with dietary adaptations available upon request.

ABOUT US

A tourism and gastronomic experience built around 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham with DOP Jabugo, in the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche, in the province of Huelva.

We, Jamones Eíriz, organize gastronomic visits in our dehesa and facilities, available in four languages, with a guided tasting of Iberian ham. Our cellar, drying house, and distinctive gastronomic heritage are integrated into the Ruta del JABUGO Association. Jamones Eíriz JABUGO is one of the oldest ham cellars, producing artisan Iberian acorn-fed hams and cured meats in the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche.

Our tourism activities share respect for the environment, the culture surrounding the Iberian pig, traditional craftsmanship, the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and its unique gastronomy. Visitors enjoy and learn about the fascinating world of Iberian ham production.

IMPACT

While carrying out the activity, visitors learn about the traditional way of life in the Parque Natural de Aracena y Picos de Aroche and the natural values that sustain it, from Roman times to the present.

The 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham with PDO Jabugo, produced through extensive farming, helps protect the sustainability of the dehesa, one of Europe's most sustainable agroforestry ecosystems.

We also support a reforestation program with our village's school. The local climate naturally dries the hams, reducing energy use, and we recycle the waste generated during production.
