OUR EXPERIENCES

We are located on Itzurun Beach, in the heart of the Basque Coast Geopark, a territory recognized by UNESCO for its exceptional geological, ecological, and scenic value. This natural environment defines the essence of the hotel and its approach to hospitality: a space designed for rest, reconnection with nature, and holistic well-being.

The hotel has 26 rooms, many with sea views, with a focus on the surroundings and the tranquility of the seascape, reinforcing the sense of retreat and disconnection sought by our guests.

The centerpiece of the project is its thalassotherapy center, which uses seawater and marine elements to improve physical and mental well-being. The facilities include a heated indoor seawater pool, hydrotherapy circuits, massage jets, jacuzzis, a Turkish bath, and various body and facial treatments focused on relaxation, recovery, and personal care.

Our mission is to offer an authentic hospitality experience that respects and enhances its natural surroundings. We aim to enhance our guests’ physical and mental well-being through marine therapies, hospitality services, and personalized care, all within a privileged natural setting.

In addition, located within a protected natural area, we are committed to generating a positive impact on the territory by promoting sustainability, responsible consumption, and local culture. We are active members of The Basque Coast Geopark, part of the European Geoparks Network and the Global Geoparks Network and a declared UNESCO Global Geopark.

Our commitment also extends to the wellbeing of our team, fostering a respectful, inclusive, and motivating workplace where people can grow professionally and personally, understanding that the care of our employees is essential to delivering meaningful and memorable experiences for our guests.

This Meaningful Travel Map Impact Partner was brought to our attention by Soy Ecoturista. Soy Ecoturista is a non-profit association that groups destinations and companies in Spain offering authentic ecotourism experiences in territories with protected areas. All members of Soy Ecoturista meet a series of environmental and social requirements that guarantee the traveler their contribution to the conservation of biodiversity and to the local development of the areas they visit.

IMPACT

Our impact is rooted in operating a hospitality model that respects and enhances the natural and social environment in which we are located. We prioritise responsible decision-making, working with local suppliers and integrating sustainability into daily operations.

Environmentally, we actively reduce our footprint through energy efficiency measures, waste reduction, and responsible resource management adapted to our location within a protected natural area. We take special care in the use and reuse of seawater within our facilities

Socially and culturally, we contribute to the local economy by promoting regional gastronomy, culture, and employment (85% women, creating stable and respectful working conditions for our team. We also seek to raise awareness among guests by encouraging conscious travel practices and fostering a deeper connection with the surrounding landscape, helping visitors understand and value the importance of its preservation.

What accommodations do you make for people living with disabilities?
We are not a hotel fully adapted for people with disabilities. However, we have different equipment such as cranes and ramps that help with access.
